Portoro¾ is located on the SW of Slovenia, by the Slovenian coast. The Gulf of Trieste, where Portoro¾ is located, represents the point, where the Adriatic and consequently the Mediterranean see deep into the heart of the mainland.
The name Portoro¾/Portorose literally means 'port of roses', is one of the country's largest tourist areas. Portoro¾ boasts a marina, casino, and numerous sporting facilities, and is mainly dedicated to the needs of a modern tourist.
