- Slovenia

The Republic of Slovenia lies at the heart of Europe where the Alps and the Mediterranean meet the Pannonian plains and the mysterious Karts.

A little over 2 million people live here on just over 20,000 square kilometres. Despite being relatively small – Slovenia is half the size of Switzerland – the country has a rich history, a very diverse landscape, and well-preserved natural wonders.

Slovenia is a democratic, stable and independent country, and is a member of the European Union (EU). The country is endeavouring its territorial and national identity and preserving its natural and cultural heritage at the same time.
