Slovenia kicked off their campaign against Great Britain with a display of basic futsal that tore apart the defence of their opponents with ease. Four similar goals, all coming from a free man slotting home, and a well worked free kick, albeit with the same outcome ? a tap in at the back post ? were the difference between Slovenia and GBR. Rok Mordej scored the first and last of the goals at the far post and Sebastien Drobne then wrapped the game up with a run to the back post where he received it and slotted home from the set play. Marko Hrvatin and Aljaz Laharner bagged the other two goals. Great Britain have a lot of work to do to stop leaking the goals, but more importantly they never looked like scoring, so a clean sheet would only have ended up with a 0-0 scoreline. Slovenia have their victory in less than inspiring fashion, but can build on this and hopefully improve over the course of the week to have a real shot at the title.
